NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF TARIFF SUBMISSION IN TERMS OF THE REGULATIONS REGARDING THE SUBMISSIONS OF INTERCONNECTION AGREEMENTS AND TARIFFS

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms of Section 53(11) of the Communications Act, 2009 (Act No. 8 of 2009) herewith gives notice that Focus Engineering Services CC t/a Focus Telecom has withdrawn its full tariffs submission (SIP & V oip rates) as published in the Government Gazette No. 7677, General Notice No. 644, dated 3 November 2021 .

NOTICE IN TERMS OF REGULATION 19(1) OF THE REGULATIONS REGARDING LICENSING PROCEDURES FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND BROADCASTING SERVICE LICENCES: COMMUNICATIONS ACT, 2009

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms Regulation 19(1) of the Regulations Regarding Licensing Procedures for Telecommunications and Broadcasting Service Licences, published in Government Gazette No. 4785, General Notice No. 272, dated 29 August 2011 (as amended), hereby gives notice of the following decisions:

1. Telecommunications Service Licences

  • a) The Authority resolved to award Mainmast Electronics CC a Class Comprehensive Telecommunications Service License (ECNS and ECS).
  • b) The Authority resolved to extend the period within which to provide telecommunications services for a period of twelve (12) months from 14 April 2022 to 13 April 2023, in respect of the Class Comprehensive Telecommunications Service License (ECNS and ECS) awarded to Metagalaxy Space Science and Technology CC .

2. Broadcasting Service Licences

  • a) The Authority resolved to renew the Community Broadcasting Service Licence awarded to Southern Sun Media Trust for a period of five (5) years.
  • b) The Authority resolved to renew the Commercial Broadcasting Service Licence awarded to One Africa Television (Pty) Ltd for a period of ten (10) years.

The above decisions are effective from the date of publication of this Notice.

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms of regulation 34(1) of the Regulations Prescribing Procedures Regarding Application for, and Amendment, Renewal, Transfer and Cancellation of Spectrum Licenses, published in Government Gazette No. 6888, General Notice No. 104, dated on 29 April 2019, hereby gives notice of the following decisions:

1. Spectrum Licences

NOTICE IN TERMS OF REGULATION 19(1) OF THE REGULATIONS REGARDING LICENSING PROCEDURES FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND BROADCASTING SERVICE LICENCES: COMMUNICATIONS ACT, 2009

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms Regulation 19(1) of the Regulations Regarding Licensing Procedures for Telecommunications and Broadcasting Service Licences, published in Government Gazette No. 4785, General Notice No. 272, dated 29 August 2011 (as amended), hereby gives notice of the following decisions:

1. Telecommunications Service Licences

  • a) The Authority resolved to extend the period within which to provide telecommunications services for a period of twelve (12) months from 28 April 2021 to 29 April 2023, in respect of the Class Comprehensive Telecommunications Service License (ECNS and ECS) awarded to Lightstruck Operating Company (Pty) Ltd .

The full reasons for the decisions can be requested from the Authority. All written submissions must contain the name and contact details of the person making the written submissions and the name and contact details of the person for whom the written submission is made, if different and be clear and concise.
