1.The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms of section 31 of Communications Act, 2009, herewith gives notice that the Authority has declined Paratus Telecommunications (Pty) Limited 's reconsideration against the decision of the Authority published as General Notice No. 332, in Government Gazette No. 8655 dated 3 June 2025.the
  1. The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms of section 31 of the Communications Act, 2009, herewith gives notice that the Authority has approved Telecom Namibia Limited 's reconsideration against the decision of the Authority published as General Notice No. 331, in Government Gazette No. 8653 dated 3 June 2025.

The full reason for the decision can be requested from the Authority.

NOTICE IN TERMS OF REGULATION 19(1) OF THE REGULATIONS PRESCRIBING LICENCE CATEGORIES AND LICENSING PROCEDURES FOR POSTAL SERVICE LICENSEES. COMMUNICATIONS ACT, 2009

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms of regulation 19(1) of Regulations prescribing Licence Categories and Licensing Procedures for Postal Service Licensees, published as General Notice No. 506, in Government Gazette No. 7072, dated 2 December 2019, in accordance with the Communications Act, 2009 (Act No. 8 of 2009), herewith gives notice that the Authority resolved to award the extension of the reserved services for Namibia Post Limited for an additional period of five (5) years as contemplated in the Licence Conditions awarded to Namibia Post Limited.

The full reasons for the decisions can be requested from the Authority. In terms of section 31 of the Communications Act, 2009 (Act No. 8 of 2009), the Authority may, on its own motion or on a petition filed by an aggrieved party to any proceedings, reconsider any order or decision that it has made, within 90 days of this notice.

NOTICE IN TERMS OF REGULATION 19(1) OF THE REGULATIONS REGARDING LICENSING PROCEDURES FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND BROADCASTING SERVICE LICENCES AND SPECTRUM USE LICENCES AND REGULATION 34(1) OF THE REGULATIONS PRESCRIBING PROCEDURES REGARDING APPLICATION FOR, AND AMENDMENT, RENEWAL, TRANSFER AND CANCELLATION OF SPECTRUM LICENCES: COMMUNICATIONS ACT, 2009

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms of regulation 19(1) of the Regulations regarding Licensing Procedures for Telecommunications and Broadcasting Service Licences and Spectrum Use Licences, published as General Notice 272, in Government Gazette No. 4785, on 29 August 2011 (as amended) and regulation 34(1) of the Regulations prescribing Procedures regarding Application for, and Amendment, Renewal, Transfer and Cancellation of Spectrum Licences: Communications Act, 2009, published as General Notice. 104, in Government Gazette No. 6888, on 29 April 2019, hereby gives notice of the following decisions:

1. Broadcasting Service Licences

  • (a) The Authority resolved to award a Community Broadcasting Service Licence to Adventist World Radio Namibia .
  • (b) The Authority resolved to approve the extension of the commencement period of broadcasting services for Urban Café Radio CC for a period of twelve (12) months.
  • (c) The Authority resolved to approve the extension for the commencement of broadcasting services for Katima FM Radio Broadcasting for a period of twelve (12) months.

2. Spectrum Licences

  • (a) The Authority resolved to award the amendment of the spectrum licence in the 2100 MHz band awarded to Telecom Namibia Limited as set out below:
  • (b) The Authority resolved to award the amendment of all spectrum licences awarded to Telecom Namibia Limited in the 2100 MHz band for the provision of mobile as set out in the table below:
  • (c) The Authority resolved to approve the extension request by Telecom Namibia Limited for the migration timelines for phase 1 and phase 2 in respect of the cancellation of Telecom Namibia Limited's spectrum licence in the 3405-3447 and 3505-3547 MHz bands as follows:

NOTICE IN TERMS OF THE REGULATIONS REGARDING LICENSING PROCEDURES FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND BROADCASTING SERVICE LICENCES AND SPECTRUM USE LICENCES: COMMUNICATIONS ACT, 2009

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia, in terms of regulation 19(1) of the Regulations Regarding Licensing Procedures for Telecommunications and Broadcasting Service Licences and Spectrum Use Licences, published as General Notice No. 272, in Government Gazette No. 4785, dated 29 August 2011 (as amended), herewith gives notice that it has approved:

  1. Transfer of Control of the Commercial Broadcasting License and Spectrum Licenses as submitted by Hitradio Namibia CC , which came into force and effect on 10 August 2025 , notwithstanding the date of publication of the notice in the Gazette .

Note: The full submission and reasons for approval can be obtained from the Authority.
